Direct-Drive Characteristics

Direct-drive torque motors couple high-pole PM synchronous motors straight to the load. Eliminating gears eliminates backlash, elasticity, and wear, yielding extreme dynamic responsiveness.

How It Operates

  1. 3-Phase Commutation: Digital driver synthesizes sinusoidal AC currents ($U, V, W$) creating a seamless rotating stator field.
  2. Direct Synchronous Coupling: Permanent magnet rotor aligns instantly with the stator vector without mechanical backlash.
  3. Closed-Loop Servo Control: Optical encoder delivers sub-arcsecond feedback to counteract dynamic machining forces.
